Create Your Home Yoga Practice
Everything you need to know to create your own home yoga practice with confidence
Do you sometimes find that as much as you try to make it to yoga classes a couple of times a week it just doesn't happen? Would you like to have the confidence to do your own practice at home when it suits you? Do you struggle to know what or how to do a self practice? Ever wondered if you're doing your home practice properly?
In order to receive the best out of your yoga practice both on and off the mat you need to practice consistently. With the busy lives we live, it is often difficult to make it to classes or perhaps sometimes you just can't take a whole hour out of your day. Coupled with not knowing how to properly sequence a yoga practice and having the available tools and knowledge, means many of us never quite manage to achieve a consistent practice and so we don't reap all the wonderful benefits yoga can give us.
This course is designed to systematically take you through how to create your own home yoga practice. You will be taught not only the basics of how to sequence postures intelligently, but will also be guided through short, medium and longer asana (postural) practices as well as pranayama (breathwork) and meditations. A one-on-one session via Skype or in person is included in the bundle so you can ask any questions that relate specifically to yourself, and there is also a closed Facebook group so you can gain support or ask questions at any time.
Cassandra Pickel is Inner Power Yoga's principal teacher. Cassandra knows only to well the transformative power of yoga. "I was such an angry, discontent and generally messed up wild child before I discovered yoga. I hate to think where I would be if I had never started practicing. The mindfulness that yoga brings has such power to change our perception of our lives, ourselves and the world around us. Not only do we learn how to harness our energy so we can thrive, but we also undergo a personal transformation learning more about ourselves and our beliefs. Together they help us to shape our lives in a way that truly serves ourselves as well as others. We stop being so emotionally reactive, and begin to see that happiness, joy and love is an inside job and our birthright. We begin to see there is no separateness".
Cassandra started her yoga journey studying Mysore Ashtanga Yoga under the guidance of Graham Northfield and Iain Clarke both direct students and Certified Teachers of Sri K Pattabhi Jois.
Always the student, she's studies each year with Yogarupa Rod Stryker, so far completing four ParaYoga Master Trainings (Sri Vidya lineage) plus two other recognised trainings with him. She has also completed a 50hr Teacher Training in Tantric Hatha with The Practice Bali and a 500hr YTT with VIYETT (Melbourne).
She has been practicing yoga for 25 years and teaching for 6 years, and specialises in empowering others to live authentic, purposeful lives through retreats, workshops and classes. She currently lives in the remote tourist town of Exmouth in Western Australia's North West.
